02

How we collect and use it

We normally collect personal information directly from you through our forms, email and other communications with our Australian team. Technical information is generated when your browser interacts with the website.

We use the information to answer questions, assess project requirements, provide requested materials, manage resource access, support customers and maintain reliable website services. If you leave out information needed to respond or verify a resource request, we may be unable to complete that request. Where practicable, you may make a general enquiry without identifying yourself.

Enquiries submitted through this Australian website’s project form are handled by our Australian team. They are not forwarded to our China headquarters or other overseas Tecloman teams for enquiry handling. If you choose to contact another Tecloman entity directly, its own information-handling practices may apply.

We handle personal information in accordance with applicable Australian privacy requirements, including the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles where they apply.

03

Service providers and overseas processing

We use service providers to operate the website, deliver email and maintain our systems. These providers process information needed to deliver those services. We may also disclose information to advisers or authorities where reasonably necessary for a related business purpose or required or permitted by law.

Australian team. International service infrastructure.

Our website server is hosted by Vultr in Melbourne, Australia. Website email delivery currently uses NetEase (163), which may involve storage or processing in China. Our Australian contact mailbox uses Google Workspace. Google’s service infrastructure and service providers may process email data outside Australia. Your messages may therefore be processed outside Australia even though our Australian team handles your enquiry. This is separate from forwarding enquiries to overseas Tecloman teams.

Where an overseas disclosure occurs, we take steps required by applicable Australian privacy law in relation to the recipient’s handling of personal information. Contact us if you need information about the service providers used for a particular interaction before providing personal information.

04

Cookies, sessions and external services

The website uses session cookies or similar storage to support functions such as restricted video access and administrator sign-in. You can control cookies through your browser. Blocking essential cookies may affect functions that require a sign-in or access session.

Our newsroom includes public Tecloman company updates and links to their LinkedIn sources. This company-content workflow does not read a website visitor’s personal LinkedIn feed or messages, and reading our public news does not require a LinkedIn login.

Links to LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, X and other external websites lead to services operated by those providers. Their own privacy policies apply when you use those services.

05

Security and how long we retain information

We use measures such as HTTPS, access controls and restricted administrator access to protect information handled through the website. Access to enquiry information is limited to the Australian personnel and service providers who need it for the purposes described in this policy.

We retain information for as long as reasonably needed for the enquiry, resource access, customer relationship and relevant legal or record-keeping requirements. The period depends on the information and the purpose; an enquiry that becomes an active project may need to be retained longer than an initial request.

When personal information is no longer needed for a permitted purpose, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it unless we are required to retain it. Copies in routine backups may remain until they are overwritten through normal backup processes.

06

Access, correction and communication preferences

You may ask to access personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct information that is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete or misleading. Email us using the contact details below and describe the information or interaction concerned. We may need to verify your identity before providing access or making a change.

We will consider your request under applicable Australian law. If access or correction cannot be provided, we will explain the reason and available complaint options where required. If a lawful, reasonable access charge is proposed, we will let you know before proceeding; there is no charge for making a request or seeking correction.

You can also ask us to stop optional promotional communications. We may still need to send messages relevant to an enquiry, service or active project you have requested.

07

Privacy enquiries and complaints

Contact our Australian team if you have a privacy question, want to exercise your access or correction rights, or wish to make a complaint. Please describe what happened, the relevant dates and how we can contact you. We will review the matter and communicate the outcome or next steps.
